Following the partnership between Chiquita and Universal for “DESPICABLE ME 2”, Chiquita bananas were sold with stickers and gifts inspired by the movie stars, the incredible naughty Minions.
Chiquita launched a communication campaign and co-operated with Sales Promotion Center for below-the-line activities to communicate the movie, as well as promotional offers to the consumer.
Promoters, working at the grocery department of SKLAVENITIS super markets, were updating consumers and urged them to buy Chiquita bananas at a special price, to get the collectible gifts. In a single week more than 31 tons of our favourite bananas were sold and all gifts were snapped up!!!
We also, launched an extended merchandising activity, which covered all grocery stores in Athens and Thessaloniki and provided them with leaflets and POP material for the movie.
